Terms & Conditions

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 where required by local law) to use Icona. By signing up you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at support@icona.cam if you suspect unauthorised access.

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Upload photos or videos of identifiable people without a reasonable basis to believe they consent to that sharing within the relevant event.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service.
• Use Icona to send spam, phishing or malware.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

You retain ownership of the photos, videos, captions, comments and messages you upload ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content you grant Icona a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, transcode, display and deliver it solely for the purpose of operating the service.

You also grant other members of any event you upload to a limited, personal, non-commercial right to view and download Your Content from that event, and to order physical prints of it for their own personal use through Icona's print feature. You can revoke this by deleting the content or leaving the event.

Prints are produced and shipped by our fulfilment partner Gelato. Payment is processed by Stripe. Prices shown include VAT where applicable; shipping is calculated at checkout. Because each print is made to order, we do not accept returns of correctly produced items, but we will replace or refund any order that arrives damaged or with a manufacturing defect — please contact us within 14 days of delivery with a photo.

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

We work hard to keep Icona running smoothly but the service is provided "as is" and we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may add, change or remove features at any time.

You can delete your account at any time from the app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if required by law. On termination, content you have uploaded will be removed, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting reasons.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that, Icona's total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you have paid to Icona in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim and (b) £100.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that consumers may also bring proceedings in the courts of their country of residence.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Icona after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
